"The Principle of Moments" is Robert Plant's second solo studio album. Phil Collins played drums on five of the album's eight songs (as well as on Pictures at Eleven). As on Plant's first solo album, Pictures at Eleven, the songs were a distinct departure from the hard rock sound of Led Zeppelin. With this album, Plant scored a big hit with Big Log, which he promoted with a music video for the now indispensable MTV television show. He even appeared with the song on Top of the Pops, the biggest of Led Zeppelin's failures.
