Originally recorded in London on New Year's Eve 1977 and eventually released as a double album in 1979, It's Alive delivers a precision-loaded live version of the best-known tracks from the first three albums. It's Alive: 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition is out now on Rhino. The 180g 4CD/2LP vinyl set, released in a limited and numbered edition of 8,000 copies, is housed in a 12 x 12 hardcover book. It is accompanied by liner notes by legendary producers and musicians Steve Albini and Ed Stasio, who produced It's Alive, created the soundtrack and remastered all the music included in this collection. It's Alive: 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition contains all four concerts professionally recorded during the Ramones' UK tour in December 1977. Three of these are released for the first time: 'Top Rank, Birmingham (28 December 1977)'; 'Victoria Hall, Stoke-On-Trent (29 December 1977)'; 'Friars, Aylesbury (30 December 1977)'; plus 'The Rainbow Theatre, London (31 December 1977)'.
