Bashar Barakah Jackson aka Pop Smoke was just 20 years old when he was murdered in his home on February 19 this year. Dubbed the "King of Brooklyn Rap" by the New York Times, his hip-hop career was just 18 months old at the time. In late 2019, he appeared at number one (in the U.S.) on the compilation album "JACKBOYS" from Travis Scott's label Cactus Jack Record, and just days before his death, he released his second mixtape "Meet the Woo 2," which reached number 7 on the official U.S. album chart and has since been streamed more than 280 million times. On July 10, 2020, his debut album "Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon" was released digitally with a renowned track list that reached #1 on the US Billboard chart and #9 on the German chart. The album features appearances by 50 Cent, DaBaby, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Future, Quavo and Swae Lee, among others. The album artwork and all other visuals were created by Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton Men art director and fashion designer Virgil Abloh.
