A collection of unreleased demos of all the songs written for PJ Harvey's fourth studio album Is This Desire? including demos of 'A Perfect Day Elise', 'The Wind' and 'Angelene'. The audio was mastered by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering under the guidance of long-time PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish. Includes brand new cover art with previously unpublished photos by Maria Mochnacz. The fourth studio album Is This Desire? from PJ Harvey. Is This Desire? was produced by PJ Harvey with Flood and Head and was originally released in September 1998. It contains the singles "A Perfect Day Elise" and "The Wind". PJ Harvey herself considers this album to be her finest. Of the songs BR wrote: "One of the greatest dark albums in music history. Music you put on at very dark hours. But PJ Harvey has a talent that only artists like Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits or Harvey's former lover Nick Cave have: he sings of suffering, breathing pain with every note, yet always giving light. It's a paradox: sadness that creates joy."
