"Playing music is as exciting as a sexual relationship and it goes hand in hand," she told a French TV show in 1993. "And I think music physically turns me on, even when I'm playing loud, and standing in front of a bass amplifier I think is quite a sexual experience. She tells a story about playing in Chicago and how every time Steve Vaughan hit A, she felt the vibrations all the way to her middle. "Amazing," she muses, "we play a lot of songs in A too, so it was a good night." The French journalist is shaking like a stunned child, unable to accept this outspoken, wild person who is in control.
