With over thirty years under their leather belts, these New Jersey natives are ready to unveil their latest release, "The Wings Of War". Their nineteenth album, clocking in at ten tracks and fifty-one minutes, is the perfect combination of sickening brutality and haunting melody. Once again, it was Travis Smith's incredible cover design that sparked the idea for the title of their next album. With five of Overkill's iconic winged skulls twirling powerfully around a table, seemingly ready for battle, "The Wings Of War" just rolls off the tongue. With the addition of veteran drummer Jason Bittner (ex-Shadows Fall, Flotsam And Jetsam, Stigmata), OVERKILL experience a new chemistry this time around that gives the record a unique feel. The songwriting followed a familiar foundation, but now has a fresh influence and energy that inspires the entire band.
