If you didn't know that Norah Jones actually has a reputation for being an affable singer, you'd hardly think so after listening to this album. The 2012 production is the work of Danger Mouse, and the theme of the abandoned artist doesn't quite fit as a mission statement, despite the actual original songs. Jones does put disdain into her voice, and Danger Mouse weaves an intricate tapestry of sound over it, but it remains an album of subtle tones that only catches your attention on the second or third listen. So Norah Jones ventures into electronica with a bass line. This new release has been remixed by Kevin Gray of Cohearent Audio and is being released as a hybrid SACD. Unlike the regular production, the album has a much quieter and more analogue feel to the listener. The production may have been done digitally, but there is no need to rub it in the listeners' faces. Product Information Norah Jones' album Little Broken Hearts was created in collaboration with producer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton, best known as the ace producer of Gnarls Barkley with singer Cee Lo Green. Jones and Danger Mouse wrote all the material for the album together in the producer's Los Angeles studio, and the duo recorded all the instruments themselves. This is their second collaboration - Jones previously appeared as the lead singer of... Review of ,,... and shows herself to be a mature songwriter. Piano? Jazz? Girls? That was yesterday."
