Motörhead - a band that needs no introduction, a band that follows only its own rules, doesn't let anyone or anything tell it what to do, and has always stayed true to itself. Lemmy Kilmister, Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell - "what you see is what you get".

Lemmy himself has long been recognised as an icon that transcends all stylistic boundaries (as evidenced by receiving the UK's MOJO Icon Award a few days ago) and regularly proves time and time again that rock'n'roll never fails to inspire. After all: which rock'n'roller can boast a film biography and his own action figure?

Lemmy is undoubtedly the leader of the pack. Sometimes he seems a bit grumpy, but he scores with his typical British humour (even though he's been living in L.A. for over 18 years...). Phil Campbell, who has been on board since 1984, is getting better every year like a fine wine - while Mikkey Dee (with the band since 1992) gets the following compliment from the boss: "Mikkey is fantastic, he's 100% confident and the best drummer in the world."

The notorious trio, who always introduce themselves with the words "We're Motörhead and we play Rock'n'Roll", don't try to downshift. The result? More and more people are captivated by their music and the people behind it. Since winning a well-deserved Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category in 2005, even the last person should realize that Motörhead is quite rightly one of the most respected rock bands in the world. Fans have been loyal to the band for more than 30 years, and musicians such as Dave Grohl, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns'n'Roses, the Ramones and Metallica have regularly shown their respect for the performance of this unique band, whether through cover versions or guest appearances on both sides.

So now "Motörrizer" - the 24th album in their long career. And one realizes right away that the band can still surprise and has by no means reached its musical peak. Or in the words of Mikkey Dee: "A kick ass motherf**ing record - definitely one of the wider-ranging Motörhead records ever released". On "Motörizer" we find 11 tracks in total, which testify to Motörhead's unprecedented diversity - but of course always with a good dose of rock. After all, this is Motörhead we're talking about...

"Motörizer", Motörhead's nineteenth studio album, was originally released on 26 August 2008 and was the band's third album produced by Cameron Webb. "Motörizer" was the band's first album to chart at number 82 in the US; it also reached number 5 in Germany. The lead single "Rock Out" was used as the official theme song for WWE Unforgiven.
