Metallica has announced the release of the live album S&M2 with the San Francisco Symphony and now they are releasing new versions of All Within My Hands and Nothing Else Matters. The legendary metal band Metallica & San Francisco Symphony will release the live album S&M2 together on August 28th.S&M2 concerts on August 6th and 8th. September 2019 were historic moments in several ways - not only did they mark the grand opening of San Francisco's Chase Center arena, but they reunited the band and symphony for the first time since their 1999 performance, which was captured on a Grammy-winning album that featured the first-ever symphonic renditions of Metallica songs up to that point. The shows sold out and were enthusiastically received by 40,000 fans who traveled from 70 countries to see the band. Celebrities and media reviewed the concerts saying: "The band proved that anything is possible," or "We witnessed a concert that will be talked about for decades to come. "The album is a groundbreaking release in the band's catalog, both sonically and visually. Production was handled by Greg Fidelman, with production by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. The live album captures more than two and a half hours of James, Lars, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo performing with the eighty-member SF Symphony, legendary orchestra music director Michael Tilson Tomas and conductor Edwin Outwater. The concert recording is thus a brand new edition, recorded by Joe Hutching. The album is available for pre-sale now and is accompanied by two new versions of the hits "All Within My Hands" and "Nothing Else Matters," which can be found on digital platforms.
