In their first ever recording, the highly acclaimed TRIOSORA (Clémence de Forceville, Angèle Legasa, Pauline Chenais) celebrate their vision of Ludwig van Beethoven's six trios for violin, cello and piano, immortalised on a 3CD set to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth. Equipped with meticulous research into the composer's manuscripts and correspondence, as well as a thorough analysis of his scores, Clémence de Forceville (violin), Angèle Legasa (cello) and Pauline Chenais (piano) reveal the extraordinary modernity of their visionary creator. Beethoven knew how to evolve and revolutionize: from his first work of 1795, conceived as a large-scale concert work, to the famous "Archduke" Trio (Op. 97), the last movement of this cycle, his trios are a manifestation of the uniqueness of his contrasting writing. The "Archduke" Trio in particular is considered by the composer to be the supreme work of its kind, stating that it is "a hymn to nature and love whose humanistic meaning is obvious". The equally famous Ghost Trio (Op. 70) opens the door to a new sonic and emotional universe for the composer. For the TRIO SORA, Beethoven's personality is revealed in a new way: 'We have discovered a completely different image of him, that of a young man: always in love, full of humour and mockery, whose sensitivity shines through in the depth of his skin in each of the trios.
