The French pop connoisseurs from Paris, La Femme, release their second album "Mystère". The band has greatly influenced the cultural landscape of contemporary Paris, placing their music on both sides of the city on the Seine: in glamorous and less glamorous spaces. Since the release of their debut album "Psycho Tropical Berlin", La Femme have won admirers from the ranks of celebrities: directors Jacques Audiard and Romain Gavras, legends such as Jean Michel Jarre and Hedi Slimane, and an ever-growing base of young fans that have earned them the title of "Best French New Band of the Year" at the French Music Awards and top spots on the French charts; plus, television commercials by Aplles, Renault and Sonos featuring La Femme's music constantly strain ears. The band returns with a more psychedelic sound and a host of guest vocalists who weave through the heaviest electro beats. La Femme celebrate their beautiful hometown and ask questions about falling in and out of love. "Mystère" is actually a collection of short stories about love and loss. Each song overcomes language barriers through pure melody. The band's retro-futuristic surf-pop sound still evokes the same charming punk noise as before, but this time it's filled with a compilation of elegant influences between Ennio Morricone, disco-rock of Marie Et Les Garcons and The Velvet Underground. "Mystère" is the foundation of La Femme's new penchant for oriental sounds; Turkish disco, Tuareg blues and medieval psychedelia lean towards Brian Eno and Pink Floyd.
