Two decades have passed since the release of VIOLENT REVOLUTION's groundbreaking tenth studio album. "It's one of our strongest albums in Kreator history," says Mille Petrozza with conviction. "We took what we did on Coma Of Souls and Extreme Aggression and implemented modern metal elements into the previous sound. This started a new era of Kreator. You could say it's a rebirth and the beginning of a second career." The album was produced by Andy Sneap, who has made an excellent name for himself on the scene with this release. "Violent Revolution" is undoubtedly an excellent album. Although in some ways reminiscent of the band's earlier glory days, it doesn't sound nostalgic at all. The performances and production values are very contemporary and the strength of the songs themselves are of the highest value. Kreator have risen to the challenge of a new generation of ambitious metal bands and prove that they are far from being old hat. Unlike many of their peers, this band still has a lot to offer, plus they are passionate about what they do themselves. Kreator were pioneers of thrash in the 80s. Pioneers of experimentation in the 90s. And now, in the 2000s, they're pioneers of the modern sound. How many others can boast such a pedigree?
