Brave Murder Day is the debut album by Swedish metal band Katatonia , released in 1996. The album was recorded at the Unisound studio in Örebro, Sweden and produced by Dan Swanö. The album was released on CD, LP and cassette. The album was re-released twice, in 1998 and 2006. Music critics praised the album, with AllMusic stating that the album "puts the band on the map as one of the most promising new bands in the death metal genre".
