Continuum is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter John Mayer , released on September 12, 2006 by Columbia Records. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, California and produced by Mayer and Steve Jordan. Mayer brought in Jordan as his co-producer and drummer, as well as longtime collaborator and engineer Chad Franscovey. The album Continuum debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 and sold over 547,000 copies in its first week. It later received a platinum record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping one million copies in the United States. As of September 2016, the album has sold over two million copies in the US. The album spawned four singles, "Waiting on the World to Change", "I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You)", "Belief" and "In Repair". "Waiting on the World to Change" was the album's lead single and reached number one on the Adult Pop Songs chart.
