After a giant world tour for their debut album, they announced a hiatus to focus on the new album in peace. However, it is now surprisingly fast approaching. When Imagine Dragons announced a creative hiatus in April 2014 to work on "Smoke + Mirrors", they already had the songs for the album in the bag. What's more: a total of 50 demos of songs they wrote and recorded during the world tour for "Night Visions" were waiting to be heard and reviewed. The fine-tuning began. The band describes itself as a group of perfectionists. And you can hear that on this second album. They say themselves that their second album is more mature and more perfect. But fans of Imagine Dragons can rest assured: "Smoke + Mirrors" is still the audible and recognizable band from the debut album, just a bit more experimental in some of the songs. The electronic effects are more sophisticated, but drummer Daniel Platzman's deep, fat beats are still punchy most of the time. Imagine Dragons have released four singles in advance: 'Gold', 'I Bet My Life', 'Shots' and the very fresh 'I'm So Sorry'. From this you can already get a good idea of the stylistic range that characterizes the whole new album. She can still sing well. From somber to feel-good, they realize all aspects of rock's emotional palette in their own way. They never get bored. The second album Imagine Dragons "Smoke + Mirrors" is a joy to listen to each of the 13 new songs. The short wait has paid off: success is pre-programmed.
