The album Videodrome - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was released in 1982 by composer Howard Shore . The album contains the film's original score and two tracks by Canadian new wave band The Fixx. This music was Shore's first major Hollywood film score and he later composed music for many other major films. The album was well received by music critics and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music for Visual Media.
