The return of a comic band Arguably the most famous comic band in the music business returns in 2017 with a new album: 'Humanz' is the title of the band's fourth studio LP, on which Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett collaborated as usual with a host of top-notch colleagues. The guest list for "Humanz" includes Grace Jones, Danny Brown, Benjamin Clementine, Pusha T, Vince Staples, Peven Everett, Mavis Staples, Jehnny Beth (Savages) and De La Soul. The biggest sensation, however, is probably the collaboration between the Oasis frontman and his longtime rival Noel Gallagher. The new album was recorded in London, New York, Chicago, Paris and Jamaica. Production was handled by Twilite Tone of D/\P and Remi Kabaka. The result is a nineteen song epic that is truly worth a listen. Gorillaz have already revealed as much in advance by releasing four songs, "We've Got The Power", "Andromeda", "Ascension" and the single "Saturnz Barz", for which a special 3D animated music video has been created. By the way, the standard CD comes with different covers. Randomness will decide which of the four band members will appear on it. Finally: after a hiatus of almost seven years, Gorillaz present a new album with a more than impressive line-up: there's "Humanz".
