The Manchester trio (pianist Chris Illingworth, drummer Rob Turner and bassist Nick Black) are internationally recognised as electrifying live performers, innovative soundtrack composers and a collective that embraces the vibe of electronic and club culture as well as influences from minimalism and jazz heritage. GGP/RMX is a concept the group has been pushing for several years. It originated as a live reinterpretation of their fifth album and masterpiece GoGo Penguin. All of the tracks on the album are reinterpreted, as well as a fascinating new version of the previously rare gem Petit_a (which was originally released only in Japan before appearing on the GGP Live From Studio 2 digital EP).
