Eric Clapton to release new studio album in May!Legendary British singer, guitarist and songwriter Eric Clapton, who has etched himself in the public's memory with his heartfelt ballad Tears In Heaven and hits Layla and Change The World, will delight fans with another studio album in the second half of May. A collection of new songs he wrote himself will be released on the twentieth day of May under the title I Still Do...Clapton's twenty-third studio album has been produced in conjunction with legendary producer Glyn Johns, who has also produced albums by The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who. But of course he has also worked with Clapton before - four decades ago he was at the birth of his highly successful album Slowhand, which went triple platinum in America alone!"This was a long overdue opportunity to work with Glyn Johns again, and incidentally the fortieth anniversary of 'Showhand'," adds Clapton himself, who wrote a total of twelve songs for the new album. I Still Do will be available to listeners digitally, on CD and of course on vinyl!Not only the content of the album will be interesting, but also the cover art, which features a drawing of Eric Clapton. The artwork was created by Sir Peter Blake, who also designed many of the covers of legendary albums. For example, he designed the cover for The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Paul Weller's Stanley Road and the charity Christmas single Do They Know It's Christmas? This information already suggests that Eric Clapton's new album will be another musical gem this year... Eric Clapton is back in fantastic form!
