New, expanded edition Last year Erasure released a new album "The Neon". Now, in 2021, the British synthpop duo are re-releasing one of their classics in a new expanded edition on a double CD: "I Say I Say". "I Say I Say I Say" is the sixth album by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell. Recorded in 1993 at Studio 37B in Chertsey, Surrey with Martyn Ware of synthpop veterans The Human League and Heaven 17, Clarke continued his typical and exclusive use of analogue synthesisers and sequencers. The album was originally released on 16 May 1994 and became Erasure's fourth UK number one album in a row. Among its best known songs are the singles "Always", "Run To The Sun" and "I Love Saturday". Andy Bell once described "I Say I Say I Say" as "I think it's exciting, it's very atmospheric, it's good to listen to first thing in the morning, it's good to listen to in the evening, it's good on headphones, [...] it's good to listen to in the car, on a Walkman." In the extended reissue, the album has been completely remastered. In addition, CD 2 features six B-sides and an additional 16 bonus tracks, including rare and previously unreleased remixes, BBC recordings, alternative mixes and demos. The deluxe edition of the double CD "I Say I Say" comes in a book with Douglas Brothers photographs and brand new sleeve notes by Mat Smith. Unfortunately, it seems that a vinyl edition is still out of sight.
