The new album was inspired by the movie "Straight Outta Compton", which tells the story of the hip-hop formation N.W.A, and thus the rise of Dr. Dre. "When I saw the first footage from the movie, I went straight from the set to the studio and I was just inspired. I started recording the album, the soundtrack. I kept it a secret, but now it's done," he said on his radio show. Fans have had to wait a long time for new work from Dr. Dre, who is one of hip hop's most influential figures and discovered and produced Eminem and 50 Cent, among others, after his milestones "The Chronic" (1992) and "2001" (1999). Now the time has finally come: with "Compton" the master has gone all out and invited all his friends to the studio. Among them are Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Marsha Ambrosius, Jill Scott and many other guests. However, on the radio show, Dr. Dre also announced, "This will be my last album. All my friends have come. It's my grand finale."
