Debutové LP z roku 1984 bylo směsicí hi-NRG disca a new wave zvuku. Přibližně ve stejné době se do britské hitparády dostal také singl "That's the Way (I Like It)", původně od KC & Sunshine Band. Velký úspěch se však dostavil až po přechodu k producentskému týmu Stock Aitken Waterman. Na konci roku 1984 se jejich singl 'You Spin Me Round' (Like A Record) dostal do britské hitparády a krátce nato se stal nejprodávanějším (v USA na 11. místě). Od té doby Dead Or Alive prodali více než 30 milionů alb a časopis BILLBOARD je zařadil mezi 100 nejúspěšnějších tanečních umělců.

Po smrti Petea Burnse již nebylo možné pokračovat v nahrávání alba, které bylo původně plánováno a započato v roce 1990. Spolupracovník Steve Coy nyní tyto nahrávky našel v archivu a vydal je pro tuto kompilaci.
