The seven-volume Super Deluxe Box Set was created in conjunction with the 25-year retirement of Yusuf Islam (known as Cat Stevens) from the music business. On the 1978 album "Back to Earth", his last under the Cat Stevens stage name for the time being, Yusuf Islam personally bid farewell to his many fans through songs like "Just Another Night" and "Last Love Song". "Back to Earth" also represents a torn artist who feels increasingly affected by humanitarian and environmental issues in the world, a sentiment expressed on the album with lines like "Cars are choking your baby, but you don't want to see it." Cat Stevens decided to end his career in this form and did not perform under this name for 35 years. The deluxe box set highlights the weight of the album and includes concert footage of Cat Stevens' last performance at the 1979 UNICEF "Year of the Child" concert at London's Wembley Stadium on both CD and vinyl. The original analogue recordings of 'Back to Earth' have been remixed at Abbey Road Studios to mark the 40th anniversary of the album's release and are included in the Super Deluxe Set along with the original stereo mix CD, as a CD and vinyl. In addition to the CD with the album's original stereo mix, other CDs in the set include two previously unreleased songs by Cat Stevens, an unreleased demo recording of the farewell song "Just Another Night", an unreleased instrumental recording of "Bad Breaks", two unreleased remixed tracks from the "Back to Earth" album and four live recordings from his tours over the past decade. In addition, the box includes the album "Alpha Omega: A Musical Revelation" by his older brother David Gordon, which Yusuf helped produce and which includes the widely acclaimed "Child For A Day".
