Logický vývoj Bon Iver Zpráva přišla překvapivě: Bon Iver vydá v roce 2016 nové album. "22, A Million" je název LPho alba číslo tři. Od jejich poslední desky uplynulo pět let - pět let, během nichž mastermind Justin Vernon nezahálel.

Místo toho tento skladatel, zpěvák a multiinstrumentalista vydal nová alba se svými kapelami Volcano Choir a Shouting Matches a hostoval u Kanyeho Westa a Jamese Blakea.

Nyní konečně opět představuje deset originálních skladeb Bon Iver, které však neopomíjejí jeho nedávnou hudební minulost.

S písněmi "22 (OVER S∞∞N)" a "10 d E A T h b R E a s T" už vyšly dvě ukázky z alba "22, A Million". A ty dávají jasně najevo, že Vernon s novým albem opět razí novou hudební cestu, i když navazuje spíše na elektronický zvuk "Bon Iver" (2011) než na převážně akustickou folkovou desku "For Emma, Forever Ago" (2008).

Album mělo premiéru na hudebním festivalu Eaux Claires ve Wisconsinu, který Justin Vernon sám pořádal společně s kytaristou The National Aaronem Dessnerem.

Zda je neobvyklý seznam skladeb "22, A Million" uměním, nebo skrytým tajným kódem, se zatím můžeme jen domnívat.

Instead, the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has released new albums with his bands Volcano Choir and Shouting Matches and guested with Kanye West and James Blake. Now, he's finally re-releasing ten Bon Iver originals, but they don't let his recent musical past go unnoticed. With the songs "22 (OVER S∞∞N)" and "10 d E A T h b R E a s T," two samples of "22, A Million" have already appeared. And they make it clear that Vernon is once again blazing a new musical trail with his new album, even if it follows the electronic sound of "Bon Iver" (2011) rather than the predominantly acoustic folk of "For Emma, Forever Ago" (2008).
