Danceable, progressive and totally upbeat. As a producer, Björk has invited a number of well-known artists and musicians into the studio to collaborate with her on songs. "Volta" features some of Björk's most interesting collaborations, including Anthony Hegarty (Anthony And The Johnsons) and Timbaland (Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, etc.). Other collaborating artists include electronic pioneer Mark Bell of LFO and two very special drummers - Chris Corsano (Impro drummer who has worked with Sonic Youth among others) and Brian Chippendale of Lightening Bolt. Björk also presents two renowned African artists/bandleaders: Toumani Diabate and Konono N°1. She has also assembled her own ten-piece brass orchestra of Icelandic female musicians.
