During the marathon tour for Only Revolutions, which included three sold-out UK tours and a ground-breaking show at London's Wembley Arena (captured on the live album Revolutions: Live at Wembley), Biffy Clyro proved that they are the absolute top of the arena and festival circuit, as well as one of the UK's most exciting bands. This status was impressively confirmed by winning the NME and Q magazines' Best Live Band awards. The band have already showcased their new album Opposites at exclusive club shows in Germany, Sweden and Norway, which were packed with dedicated fans and an adrenaline-fuelled atmosphere, and all sold out in record time: tickets for the German shows at Bi Nuu in Berlin and Knust in Hamburg, for example, sold out in just five minutes. With the most varied and unpredictable album of their career to date, once again produced by GGGarth Richardson (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine) in Los Angeles, Biffy Clyro now underline their high ambitions and show the world how exciting and daring rock music can be. Vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil revealed to Q magazine, "Our guiding principle on this album was not to be afraid of anything." Over the past few weeks, the band have been using Twitter to reveal bit by bit Storm Thorgerson's intriguing artwork for Opposites. They also completed a double Radio 1 appearance: in the morning they played at "Fearne Cotton's Live Lounge", and in the evening they headed to "Zane Lowe's Radio 1 Rocks" where their single "Black Chandelier" finally had its official premiere. Shortly after, Biffy Clyro also performed a live set for the BBC's music show "Later... with Jools Holland".
