Biffy Clyro are at the top A band of their own that is unparalleled: Biffy Clyro have literally risen to the top in recent years. However, it's been a long road from their debut album a good 15 years ago to the number one spot in the charts. Since then, the Scots have released six albums. "Ellipsis" is the title of their new seventh studio album. Biffy Clyro 2016 picks up on it where they left off three years ago on "Opposites". The first single "Wolves Of Winter" even shows that they are following up their earlier, somewhat "heavier" records with their new album. In any case, the sound of "Ellipsis" is as energetic as we've always been used to from the trio. Monumental walls of guitars meet galloping drums. Above it all looms the thrilling voice of singer Simon Neils. The melody is never neglected. And the song structures are even more complex, as the first single proves. As usual, Biffy wrote their songs together in the rehearsal room. Finally, they recorded at Eldorado Recording Studios in Los Angeles with producer Rich Costey (Sigur Rós, Frank Turner, Muse), who captured an explosive mix. In addition to the standard CD, "Ellipsis" is also available in a deluxe edition with two bonus tracks and on a double-LP. This band has reached the zenith of their abilities. Biffy Clyro do what they do best on their new album "Ellipsis": focused and confident rock without compromise.
