Aretha Franklin's distinctive voice blends beautifully with new orchestral arrangements on "A Brand New Me". The backing vocals, also newly arranged and recorded, are by Grammy winner Patti Austin and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recorded their parts at Abbey Road Studios in London. The result of this extraordinary arrangement is a timeless album that preserves the soul, groove and gospel power of Franklin's globally revered voice, and re-emphasises it in a new context. Highlights include reworked versions of classic songs such as the timeless Billboard No.1 hits "Respect," "Think," "Don't Play That Song (You Lied)" and "Angel." The album was produced by Nick Patrick and Don Reedman, who are also responsible for the worldwide success of "If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra," which recently topped the charts in many countries and sold more than 1.5 million copies.
